EduMatch NG ("we," "our," or "us") is part of the EduVerify Ecosystem. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the EduMatch platform (edumatch.com.ng) and related services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Profile Information: Name, email address, phone number, home address (including geocoded latitude/longitude for proximity matching)
  • Professional Information: Qualifications, subjects taught, years of experience, employment status, expected salary range, availability date
  • Verification Documents: NIN, certificates, CV, reference contacts
  • Communication Data: Messages exchanged with schools through our platform
  • Payment Information: Wallet transactions, deposit/withdrawal records (processed through Paystack/Monnify)
3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Match you with verified schools based on proximity, subject fit, qualification, and salary alignment
  • Facilitate direct communication between you and interested schools
  • Process subscription payments and wallet transactions
  • Track referral bonuses and click-to-earn program participation
  • Verify your identity and qualifications
  • Improve our matching algorithm and platform features
4. Information Sharing

We share your information only with:

  • Verified Schools: When you express interest in a position, the school sees your profile, qualifications, and contact details
  • Payment Processors: Paystack and Monnify receive necessary data to process deposits, subscription payments, and withdrawals
  • Platform Administrators: For verification review, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention

We do not sell your personal data to external advertisers. Our advertisement engine displays third-party ads without sharing user identities.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in our unified database shared across the EduVerify Ecosystem (EduVerify, EduMatch, EduVendor, and Wallet). We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections, access controls, and regular security audits. Your home address coordinates are used solely for proximity matching and are not displayed publicly.

6. Your Rights

Under Nigerian data protection regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your profile (subject to legal retention requirements for transaction records)
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Data Retention

Profile data is retained while your account is active. Transaction records are retained for 7 years per Nigerian financial regulations. Referral and click-to-earn points expire after 6 months of inactivity. Dormant accounts (60+ days without login) are suspended from earning new points.

8. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies for session management, preference storage, and analytics. Our advertisement engine tracks impressions and clicks for billing purposes only. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising retargeting.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be notified via email and platform announcements. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
